We are a program serving women living in the Slate Belt communities of northeastern Pennsylvania.
At CONNECTIONS for WOMEN, we are committed to being a welcoming place where women can gather and be encouraged, equipped and empowered to face the future with hope and personal strength.
Walk-In Center:
Our Center is a casual, social environment for women to gather and support one another as we share the joys and challenges of life. Join us during our open house times for a cup of coffee or tea and take the opportunity to learn more about our programs. We are a new organization whose goals are to Encourage, Equip and Empower women.
We offer an atmosphere that says,
"you are accepted, appreciated and valued."
Resource Room:
Visit our resource room to learn about local opportunities and services that support and equip us to realize our full potential. Are you facing a challenge and do not know where to turn? Are you considering returning to school or the workforce but do not know where to begin? We have brochures and contact information of a variety of programs.
Mentoring:
Consider participating in our mentoring program where we pair up women for support and encouragement. Whether you are a seasoned "veteran" of life or someone who is facing challenges that may seem overwhelming, participating in a mentoring relationship can be very rewarding and enriching. We provide screening, training and ongoing support to all participants. Please contact us for more information and to learn more about how you can be involved.
Walk In Center Location
Our Walk-In Center is located behind the Bangor post office in the annex of the Crossroad Baptist Church on 201 S. 2nd Street. Go in the door at the top of the ramp facing 2nd street and go to your right, following the signs upstairs to our gathering room.
Walk In Center Hours:
Mondays 6 - 8:30 PM
Fridays 10AM - 1PM
